Kozak’s Auto Group has been serving the Metro Detroit area for decades, providing high-quality auto repair and collision services in Michigan. The Warren location was opened in 1987 under the name Distinctive Collision by John DeAngelo, and the Clinton Township location followed in 1996 under Steve’s Custom Color Collision by Steve Zwiez. Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach to include Morisette’s Automotive, with locations in Chesterfield, Royal Oak, and St. Clair Shores, MI. We’re now in the process of rebranding all locations under Kozak’s Auto Group to streamline our services and enhance the experience for our customers.

In 2022 and 2023, Jason Kozak took ownership of the Warren and Clinton Township locations, while also acquiring Morissette’s Automotive in Chesterfield, Royal Oak, and St. Clair Shores. This fresh chapter has been exciting for our team, and we are committed to bringing the same high level of care and customer satisfaction to all locations under Kozak’s Auto Group. Whether it’s for collision repair in Warren or routine auto repair services in St. Clair Shores, we’re dedicated to providing expert service with a focus on customer satisfaction and the highest quality workmanship.
A Personal Journey in Auto Repair
Jason Kozak’s journey into the auto repair business began early, as he grew up working alongside his father in the family’s auto shops. From a young age, he worked on cars, did simple repairs, and helped around the shop. As he got older, Jason transitioned into the office, managing operations, and assisting customers. In 2011, he took over two of his father’s shops and grew the business to six locations. In 2021, a private equity group bought his previous shops, which led Jason to focus on expanding Kozak’s Auto Group with his new acquisitions.

We have a team of skilled technicians, service advisors, and managers across all locations, each dedicated to ensuring that every vehicle is treated with care and expertise. Our team has extensive experience, with some technicians having over 28 years in the industry, and we’re committed to continuing the legacy of quality and customer service that our customers expect.
Our Family Life
When he’s not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their six children. The family lives on 30 acres in rural Michigan, where they stay busy with the kids’ sports, school, and church activities. They also enjoy outdoor activities like ATV riding, fishing, and spending time at their property, including swimming and taking care of their growing fruit orchard. Jason’s family values balance, hard work, and spending time together, which mirrors the dedication and care he brings to Kozak’s Auto Group.
